Robert Stack died of heart failure yesterday. After I moved into the first apartment of my own, I only had a very old little TV (thanks to the kindness of a dear friend). No cable or anything. I worked nights at TGI Fridays and the Untouchables would be on when I got home from work (and a few drinks). I watched reruns of that show religiously for YEARS. Sure, the Untouchables had nothing to do with the actual life and career of Elliot Ness. But the black and white grittiness and violence was too cool. All the men wore hats and used words like "dame", without sticking their tounges in their cheeks. It was a cool show and Robert Stack was a cool leading man. In other news, have you heard about those Mexicans that cooked to death in that trailer? What kind of person sticks 100 people in an unventilated tractor trailer? And this kind of mass murder isn't even uncommon. It happens all the time! These smugglers of human flesh are poster children (right up there with Westerfield) for capital punishment. I hope they fry. I hope it hurts!
