MIAMI BEACH, Fla., June 1 � A man opened fire on guests at a noisy birthday party in a neighboring apartment early Sunday, killing three people and wounding two others, police said. Kevin Evers, 41, of Miami Beach, fled and was later arrested at his parents' house in Sunrise, north of Miami, police said. He faces charges including three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, jail officials said. He was being held at Miami-Dade County jail without bond. Luis Ledesma, 30, Patricio Ernesto Fondovila, 23, and Elizabeth Ferreira, 39, died at the scene. They were attending a birthday party at an apartment where loud music was playing. Evers, who lives in an apartment upstairs, walked down at about 4 a.m. and asked them to turn down the music, said Bobby Hernandez, spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department. When they refused, he pulled out a gun and started shooting, Hernandez said. The man and woman who were injured were treated and released from Mount Sinai Hospital.	2003-06-02 12:44 a.m.
