My apologies to Blonde32810 for using his real name in my diary. Though, you'd think that someone who links to other's people's diaries to call out to his readership to harass these people, would have a somewhat thicker skin.

Anyway, it was wrong to use his real name.

Oh, and your guestbook threats

(even calling me a bitch!)really SCARE me!

All you Michigan folks have probably heard of the Ash Boar.

For those of you that haven't, it's a beetle that feeds on Ash trees. It's the greatest ecological threat to hit our shores since Dutch Elm.

What ALL of you probably haven't heard is that the State has decided to do NOTHING about getting rid of it on private land. They're burning all the Ash on public land in the affected areas, but private land is exempt. If ALL the trees in affected areas aren't destroyed, this thing is going to go nationwide and kill every Ash in the country!

So, if you live on Michigan, please contact your represenitive and let them know that the Ash Bore doesn't know the difference between public and private property and that the rest of the country would greatly appreciate having this thing eradicated before it spreads any further.

Looks like Trick has worked out a way to get his book ready to publish. I can't wait to be pimping the thing all over the place!

Speaking of pimping art, I discovered this GREAT digital artist, Blake, on Deviant art! Thought the world should have a chance to see more of his work, so I set him up with his own shop. Hopefully, this will make him enough extra money, so he has more time to work on his own stuff. Like this:

Joe's home sick from work today. Poor baby! Think I'll make him some soup.

Have you ever read squirrelx's diary? You should check it out, she's one hell of an entertaining writer!

So, yes. President Bush is trying to push through legislation defining marriage as being between a man and a woman. Policies like this are the reason why I've never been and never will be a Republican (and democRAT is out of the question).

But is it a bad thing?

Having it written into law guarantees that it will be sent to the Supreme Court. There are so many constitutional holes in any such law that they'd have to shoot it down, leaving the door open to nationwide, legal same-sex marriage.

They've already determined that homosexual relationships are protected, so it's just one federal case away from extending that to marriage.

By trying to push his religious agenda into law, President Bush may just be accomplishing the opposite!
And anyway, didn't Clinton already sign something just like this into law years ago?

You know that Benifer movie that's out? Gigili, or something?

Joe, my movie business fanatic, tells me that the president of Revolution Stuidios had to be restrained after the studio screening. Apparently, the movie is so bad that he was going to assault the director!

I'm guessing this is a sign that my movie dollar is best spent elsewhere.

Janet Evanovich was supposed to be on the Today Show yesterday, but the fucking Presidential press conferance cut in! Is there any reason why NBC can't just put these things on MSNBC, so that we don't have to miss bits of regular programming that we've been waiting all morning to see?

Anyway, Janet Evanovich writes my favorite guilty pleasure series of novels.

They're not fine literature, but make me laugh so hard I have to watch my fluid intake while reading them!

Got a call from Mom last night. She's spent the last two weeks driving all over the South with her eight cats. She says that having them around has made for more entertaining travels, but it sounds like a screaming nightmare to me.

Especially since the older seven do not like the new kitten at all and have no problem showing it at every opportunity!

Mom's current animal count is 8 cats, 2 large dogs, 19 horses and a blue tounge skink. It's a wonder that she finds time to do anything other than take care of animals, but somehow this lifestyle works for her.
