So Joe's finally decided to get out there and look for a better gig. UNO's fine and all, but the pay is shit, the hours are obscene and the benifits are a joke. Okay. Maybe UNO's not so great. Anyway, most of the job hunt, so far, has been me going all around online, posting his resume. Once it's up just about everywhere possible, Joe's going to go look at people who are hiring and email them. Researching the jobsites, it was easiest to throw them all up on a webpage and click through to each site to post the resume and stuff. It occurs to me that Joe isn't the only person in the world looking for a new job, so I've made the link page public. http://dynomoose.tripod.com/job.html Hope it's a great help to somebody!
Judge sorry for insulting rape victim A judge in Florida has apologised to a rape victim after making insulting comments about her in court. Circuit Judge Gene Stephenson asked the woman to forgive him, saying his comments had been inappropriate. During proceedings in front of the prosecutor and defence counsel, Stephenson looked at a photograph of the victim and said, "Why would he want to rape her? She doesn't look like a day at the beach." Judge Stephenson later apologised, saying: "The remarks were inappropriate. It's something I've never done before and won't do again. I would just ask that she accept my apology. If she could find it in her heart to accept it, I'd appreciate it." The 57-year-old victim was not in the court in Sanford when the comments were made, or when the judge apologised. The defendant in the case pleaded guilty to raping, kidnapping, beating and robbing the woman at midnight on New Year's Eve 2002. Judge Stephenson sentenced him to 21 years in prison, followed by two years of house arrest and then 15 years probation, says the Orlando Sentinel.
