I know this is going to sound cold but... Nasa's been in the space business since the 60's. Don't you think they should be at the point where the things don't mysteriously blow up anymore? And those poor families! What a horror for them to have lost those brave people! If private business were in charge of the space program, these things wouldn't happen. The government messes everything up.
