Excited, we left for the Proteus and Orpheus parades at 2 this afternoon. The parades were set to roll at 5, and you usually have to show up really early to get a decent parking spot. It was kind of chilly when we left, so I grabbed a sweater and sweatshirt. As we approached the rout, a slow drizzle turned into a COLD pounding rain. By the time the parades rolled (at seven) both Joe and I were soaked through and frozen to the bone. I couldn't feel my fingers. I only got one picture because I was afraid that my numb hands would drop my camera in a puddle. I did manage to catch a shit-load of beads. I will post that picture with the rest, after Zulu and Rex tomorrow. We are leaving around 3 am for those. I pray it doesn't rain. My fingers are still stiff and I can't stop sneezing. Had fun, though.
