The season premier of Six Feet Under was most intriguing. I'm wondering if any of that last half is even real. It's a shame there aren't more shows with the quality of Six Feet Under. With the networks scarfing up existing cable networks (ex: Bravo becoming NBC Jr) I fear that quality programming will become a rare thing indeed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you get a chance read Bionicgulr's diary. She is the most amazing and strong person! She grew up suffering horrible physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. Ran away from home at 15, hung with a rough crowd and, of course, abused drugs. She also suffers from sever clinical depression. Being one with this amazing ability to live in the present, she overcame all of this, got an education and made a life for herself. Just when things were seeming really peachy she got into a terrible wreck. Most of her body was badly burned and she lost an arm and a leg. Has she given up? Hell no! She's working on getting her life back together and doing a damn fine job of it! Many people could benifit from her example. If I could have half the will and nerve of bionicgurl, nothing could stop me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tomorrow is Proteus and Orpheus. I can't wait! Got my parade gear ready and waiting by the door. The first parade starts at 5, so we'll be leaving by 1 so we can get our favorite spot in front of "our" tree on St. Charles. I wish the Fat Tuesday parades started late in the day like that. I don't mind waiting four or five hours before a parade starts, but going at 3 am kind of tires me out! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time to go try to coax olivia back in the house. I'll miss New Orleans, when we;ve moved, but not this dilapitated shit hole. It will be nice to be in a proper house again. That reminds me. Have to make sure Joe works on his resume this week!
