Christmas was nice. Much nicer than I'd expected. Yes, I got a new digital camera, so I can get back to work. Also got a rock tumbler, that's making entirely too much noise in the bathroom. Funny how hard it is to find enough rocks to "charge" a tumbler when you live in SE Louisiana. You see, there are NO ROCKS here. Rocks are not a naturally occuring thing down in the Big Sleazy. This is not a big surprise, seeing that this whole area is just some (not enough) loosely packed sand on top of the Gulf of Mexico. The gift I'm really excited about scares the hell out of Joe. Not that He's had much to worry about yet. I'm going to need a smaller hose clamp for the MAPP gas before I can start using it. On a happy note, my kitten was born (with his four brothers and one sister) on the 23rd. I don't know which little demon is mine (he'll tell me that when I see them) but I'm pretty happy. Speaking of cats... I've had cats show up at my door step, giving me that "love me, keep me" look, before. I've had people show up and talk me into taking a cat or two. But this is a new one for me. Sweety Pie, LabRat's birth mother, showed up at our doorstep recently. We were very happy to see her, as she's a very affectionate stray and a delight to be around. Now, our apartment is, literally, falling down. There's a gap between our kitchen and laundryroom that one of our cats, Olivia, uses to get out whenever she wants. At least once, burglars have entered the apartment through this gap. Until recently, a cat has never entered the house this way. Exited, yes. Entered? Never. On Christmas Eve, Sweety Pie walked into our kitchen, ate all the catfood, walked into the livingroom, kicked the shit out of each of our three cats and jumped on the sofa to cuddle with Joe and me. She goes outside to poop and frolic, but is now spending the majority of her time in here, with us. We don't really want to have five cats (the Boja kitty will make five now), but I don't think we have a say in the matter. Sweety Pie has adopted us. LabRat does take after his mother in the looks department, though. Doesn't he? Don't forget to get yourself some cool stuff and fight AIDS at the same time by visiting these shops (100% of the profits go to AmFAR).
