My mom called to tell me that her cat, Nimbus AKA: Bitty Kitty, died today. When I was 15, in summer school, I smuggled him into the house and did my best to keep him secret for as long as possible. Squirrly little fucker managed to escape after a couple of weeks and attatched himself to my mother. He had hyper-thyroid and Mom didn't want to put him through surgery or having his thyroid irradiated (sp). Needless to say, losing her friend of 15 years has her kind of hysterical. This west nile virus shit is getting scary. With the huge gap between the kitchen and laundry room, we get mosquito bites in the house all the time and I'm worried that the cats might catch it. Do cats even get West Nile? If you know, drop me a note!
