What a disappointing day! The auctions I put up haven't been doing nearly as well as they should. With our finances the way they are, this really hurts. Also, the shops I made (to raise money for AmFAR in Jim's name> aren't getting the attention they deserve. All the time I put into building those shops and I fear that they aren't getting enough promotion on bowienet because I'm not able to afford to be there to push it! Not that that would make much a difference as the people there talk a good game, but when it comes time to pay up, they are conspiciously absent. Fucking pathetic! I spent most of yesterday making my Ebay more of a web page than a simple list of the auctions I have up. Combined with the web ring I joined, for the page, this will hopefully increase traffic to my auctions and money in my checking account. Shit. I hate it when my entries are full of nothing but whining. I'll try to fix that. It looks like Efrem and Jennifer (the two people I admire most) finally have a viable pregnancy going! Jennifer has had 7 miscarriages in the past and had a severely hydroencephalitic baby, who died right before birth. They are the most intelligent, reasonable and loving couple I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and no couple deserves a child of their own more than they do. Jennifer is well into her second trimester and so far so good. This is extremely good news, even though it means that I'll have to continue visiting Michigan. I had thought that Maggie's wedding marked an end to my visits of that frigid place. Visiting my future god-child is an awfully good reason to visit a local I don't particularly care for. I'm considering finding a way to sell and ship my bonsai and pre-bonsai before the weather mellows. The post office must have some procedure for shipping tropical plants in the cold seasons. People keep telling me my plants can bring in quite a healthy sum of money and now seems a good time to test those claims.
